Welcome to K. A. M. P. Karate!
American Kenpo - Modern Arnis - Bando Min Zin - Program
We offer youth and adult curriculums based on Grand-master Ed Parker's* system of American Kenpo*, which is one of the most encompassing systems of self-defense in the martial arts. It is not only a martial art, but also a logical system of movement and motion. The training regimen includes learning the basic moves that combine into self-defense techniques* and aesthetic sequences called forms or katas*. Then these new skills are honed during the sparring session with other students in a controlled setting.
But no system, no matter how comprehensive, covers everything completely. Therefore, we also teach Modern Arnis*/ Eskrima, a Filipino Martial Art. This system is weapons based - rattan sticks - and is complementary to the American Kenpo which is an empty handed system., yet gives the student another perspective. on motion and tactics.
Bando Min Zin* is a system of stretching and relaxation techniques. These prepare the student for class and for returning to the outside world. In Mr. Gill's* program, these concepts lead to a balanced and restorative approach to skill development.
Martial arts should be used as a means of self-realization, self-achievement and self-fulfillment. You may never need to use these skills to defend yourself or your loved ones, but these skills are essential for coping with the stresses, pressures, and fluctuations of daily life.
The best way to find out anything further is to get out on the mat. Get your sweats on and let's get going! We currently serve students from Perkasie, Quakertown, Silverdale, Bedminster, Souderton, Telford, Hilltown, East Rockhill, West Rockhill areas and all of Bucks and Montgomery Counties in Pennsylvania.
